About Bandhavgarh
Immensely rich in game, Bandhavgarh has the distinction of harboring the last of the highly endangered Hard Ground Bison. The vast size of the park makes extended explorations possible and Bandhavgarh is a favorite with photographers for its sheer quality of wildlife viewing. Tiger sightings are frequent and meadows abound with large herds of Chital and Sambhar. The park is also a good place to see the Leopard, Sloth Bear, Asiatic Wild Dog and Indian Bison.

Tour Cost: Rs.9,900/- per person for 3 Nights/4 Days Package.

How to make south indian masala dosa recipe:

A very popular masala dosa recipe from south india which is made by using dosa batter and potato masala.

Ingredients
For The Dosa:
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 cup skinless split black lentils(urad daal)
  • 1 tsp chana dal/bengal gram
  • ½ tsp fenugreek seeds(methi)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • salt to taste
  • water as required
  • oil for applying on dosa's
For the potato masala filling:
  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4-5 green chillies finely chopped
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 2 cups roughly/thickly sliced onions
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • salt - to taste
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
Instructions
For The Dosa Batter:
  1. Firstly, wash the rice and urad daal well. To it add fenugreek seeds, chana dal, add good amount of water and soak it for about 6-7 hours.
  2. Drain out the soaked water from all the ingredients.
  3. Mix all the ingredients that is urad dal, rice, methi seeds, chana dal and cooked rice.
  4. Blend all the mixed ingredients into a fine paste/batter by adding very little water if required.
  5. Mix the whole batter well.
  6. Allow the batter to ferment overnight.
  7. Next day to the batter, add salt and mix well.
  8. Check the batter consistency.
  9. Batter should not be too thick nor too thin.
For Making The Potato Filling:
  1. Firstly, boil the potatoes in water by adding salt and a pinch of turmeric powder.
  2. Peel off the potato skin and mash the boiled potatoes.
  3. In a separate pan, add oil and heat it.
  4. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  5. Add green chillies, add curry leaves and let them crackle.
  6. Add sliced onions and saute till onions become soft.
  7. Add salt, turmeric powder and mix well.
  8. Add the mashed potatoes, mix well and cook for a minute.
  9. Lastly, add the chopped coriander leaves and keep it aside to fill in the dosa.

For Making Masala Dosa:
  1. Heat the griddle/tawa well, take an onion slice and brush it on the tawa.
  2. Take a ladle full of dosa batter and drop it at the centre and start spreading the batter in a circular way evenly and cook.
  3. Smear some oil on the surface and corners and cook for few seconds on medium flame.
  4. Add the potato masala filling at the centre, fold it and remove from the griddle.
  5. Serve it with chutney or sambar.
Notes
1.Methi seeds are usually added to give a crispy texture to the dosa and also a golden brown color.
2.Chana dal/bengal gram too is added to give color and taste to the dosa.
